         I’m a self taught artist with no formal training, just a little help from reading art books, and asking questions of other artists. I enjoy such mediums as drawing to sculpting and everything in between.

         I’m married and have two grown boys. I worked as a chef for many years, creating beautiful works of art in food preparation.

         After the boys left home, I decided to explore my artistic talent. I began doing colored pencil portraits of pets and children, along with some wildlife pieces. I have also done several commissioned pieces.

         I joined the Illinois Art League in 2002. I then started entering my art in the area shows, and have won various awards.

         My favorite things to paint are wildlife and nature scenes. I paint or draw on rocks, leaves and wood as well as the standard canvas.

         I hope you see and enjoy my art as much as I enjoyed creating it.
